A longtime fall tradition in Port Washington, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Port Washington is holding its annual Fair and Children’s Carnival on Saturday, November 2nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Everyone is invited and admission is free.

New this year is Santa’s Workshop! Santa will be available to take photos for your holiday cards. Children’s activities, like the petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castle and the children’s carnival with games and prizes will be waiting for the kids to enjoy. In the Parish Hall there will be a wide selection of handmade crafts and sweets, handmade knits, trash and treasure, and toys and games, all perfect for holiday gift giving.

A highlight of the fair is always the St. Stephen’s Quilt Raffle. This year’s quilt is entitled “Optical Illusion” and has been handmade by the Ladies at St. Stephen’s quilting group. The quilt is a beautiful contemporary pattern in blue and white with accents of red. The quilt is on display at the Port Washington Public Library until the fair.

It wouldn’t be a fair without fabulous food. Fairgoers always enjoy the delicious homemade treats in the Heavenly Café and Coffee Shop, and the tasty lunch.

The Fall Fair is St. Stephen’s biggest fund raiser, helping to support many community groups that use the buildings, such as the Girl Scouts, Children’s Center, Senior Center, AA, and AlAnon. St. Stephen’s is located on Main St., across from the library.
