Autumn has arrived and with it, the Town of North Hempstead is getting ready for some frightening nights, as Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board prepare for one of the most popular events of the year: Spooky Walk.
Zombies, vampires, ghouls and many of their gruesome friends will inhabit the 12-acre park at Clark Botanic Garden on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The event will draw thousands of visitors, who will experience a spine-tingling walk through the realm of fear and fright that will be Clark Botanic Garden. The cost of admission is $5 per person. There will be a DJ both nights and on Saturday Schroder’s Ghost will perform at 6:30 p.m.
Spooky Walk may not be suitable for young children, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children can enjoy the Not-So-Spooky Walk on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Not-So-Spooky Walk will also include face painting, pumpkin decorating, and a Taekwondo presentation. Mad Science will also be presenting hands-on activities. Not-So-Spooky Walk’s price of admission is $5 per person.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for carnival rides and play carnival games. This year’s Spooky Walk and Not-So-Spooky Walk are sponsored by Dime Bank.
Only cash will be accepted for admittance to both Spooky Walk and Not-So-Spooky Walk.

Featuring more than 12 acres of planted, well-manicured grounds, Clark Botanic Garden, located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson, is the perfect setting for North Hempstead’s ultra-popular annual Halloween extravaganza.
