The Space at Westbury Theater will come alive with the sounds of a few of Long Island’s best musicians when The Lords of 52nd Street hits the stage on Friday, March 10.

The Lords of 52nd Street is one of New York’s leading bands comprised of Liberty DeVitto on drums, Richie Cannata on saxophone, and Russell Javors, who Billy Joel selected to create many of his classic hits, on rhythm guitar.

The band recorded, toured and performed extensively with Joel during his prominence in the 1970s and ‘80s, and aided in the creation of several of his hit records, including “The Stranger,” “52nd Street,” and “Glass Houses.”

As Joel’s touring band during these years, The Lords sold out countless shows, and performed in some of the world’s most famous arenas including, Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum, Carnegie Hall, Wembley Stadium, and many other venues around the world.

Now with this upcoming show, the band is reuniting again for the first time in 30 years, following their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014 as the “Lords” (a moniker coined by late producer Phil Ramone).

The Lords blend an eclectic mix of tunes from the Piano Man’s music catalog and perform with the same energy and passion.

Their performance of true New York sound will be an experience not to miss.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8.

A portion of the proceeds will go to The Children’s Learning Center at The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.
