South High hosting instrumental concerto night

The South High School Department of Performing Arts is pleased to present the annual Senior Instrumental Concerto Night on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the school, 341 Lakeville Rd. This concert is free of charge.

Senior Instrumental Concerto Night will feature five performances by members of the South High orchestra program: Glory Chung, Eugene Yi, Daniel Kim, Kimberly Lu, and Asia Zhang. This concert is under the direction of Michael Schwartz, the head of the performing arts department and the director of instrumental music.

Orchestral works to be performed include: Concerto in A minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed by Glory Chung on violin; Czardas by Vittorio Monti, performed by Eugene Yi on violin; Concerto No. 1 by Joseph Haydn, performed by Daniel Kim on cello; Romanze, op. 85 by Max Bruch performed by Kimberly Lu on viola; and Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso, Op. 28 by Camille Saint-Saëns, performed by Asia Zhang on violin.
