Next week my neighbors and I have the opportunity/obligation to vote in our village elections, making our choice for village trustees and mayor. Although the candidates are all incumbents, running unopposed, we are still faced with an important choice.
We can take the easy (lazy) way, assuming there will be 40-50 active supporters of the current Village [of Great Neck] Board of Trustees who will vote next Tuesday.
Or, we can, and should, show these three men that we support them and appreciate what they do for the rest of us; tirelessly, every day of the week, every week of the year. We can tell them that the postponed family vacations, the three-four evening meetings each week, keeping them away from home, and the countless telephone calls, interrupting meals and “private” time, have not gone unnoticed.
The choice should be simple. We need to take the 15 minutes next Tuesday that it will take to get out and vote!
Tell Mayor Ralph Kreitzman and trustees Jeff Bass and Mitch Beckerman and that we have noticed, that we do appreciate their efforts and we want them to continue their leadership of our village for the next two years.
