On Feb. 11, Sewanhaka High School Anatomy and Physiology students Dua Ahmed, Nia Balgobin and Britney Torres attended the Professionals in STEM program at the Center for Science Teaching & Learning in the West Hempstead Library.
Students learned about well-paying careers in science, technology, engineering and math. This program featured a panel of inspiring professionals who work in STEM careers. They explained the many great career opportunities available today along with the advantages that STEM careers have to offer. The panel included Armando D’Accordo, CEO of CMIT Solutions of South Nassau; Dr. Ray Ann Havasy, director of the Center for Science Teaching & Learning; Michael Passantino, vice president of Trinity Solar and Dr. John Tanacredi, director of CERCOM at Molloy College.
