On June 30, I will complete my term as a trustee of The East Williston School District. It has truly been a privilege and an honor to serve our district and community.
During my tenure on the board, the community came together to pass four historically low budgets while enhancing programs for our children. Some examples include Chinese at Wheatley and Foreign Language at North Side.
Willets Road was named a national Blue Ribbon School and Wheatley seniors continued to get accepted into some of the best schools in the country.
This board worked as a true team. While not always agreeing, through respectful deliberations, we usually made excellent decisions, always in the best interests of our students and community.
Thank you for your confidence and trust in me and the entire Board of Education.
