Schechter School of Long Island student, Meira Duftler has received the SHIELD award from the Office of the District Attorney Nassau County.
She is being recognized as an exceptional student with exemplary leadership. Meira is currently president of Schechter School of LI and has led numerous initiatives to improve school culture and involvement, especially during the time of Covid.
She is involved in our drama productions and has resurrected our Environmental Club into an active, climate change awareness organization.
