Koestner was formally installed in a Jan. 23 ceremony at the chapter’s annual general meeting at the Molloy College Suffolk Center in Farmingdale.

Koestner is the director of development and alumni affairs at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

In this newly created role at the Zucker School of Medicine, Koestner is building a development program at the school, as well as structuring an alumni relations program for the growing base of medical school graduates.

Prior to her role at the Zucker School, Koestner held fundraising positions at The New York Public Library, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Queens College, and NYU Winthrop Hospital. Her career in development has encompassed major gifts, planned giving, campaign strategy, annual fund, donor stewardship, and prospect research.

Koestner graduated from Rice University with a degree in cultural anthropology, received her MPA from Baruch College with a specialization in nonprofit management, and was certified as a CFRE in 2015.

She continues to hold volunteer leadership positions for her class reunions at Rice, and over the past few years has held various volunteer positions for the association, as well as serving on the steering committee of the Long Island Association’s Women’s Collaborative.

She currently resides in Roslyn, and with any spare time enjoys reading, gardening, and discovering new places to explore with her family.
