Roslyn High School senior Samantha Edelman is one of 20 students to be named a 2021-2022 Long Island Scholar Artist. Each year the Long Island Scholar Artist program recognizes students who excel academically and in the areas of either music, visual arts, dance, theater, or media arts. Samantha was selected in the area of Media Arts for her film, From Inside Out.
The film explores the pressure on today’s teens to look perfect, which can lead to eating disorders. “For me, working on this film with my fellow classmates, Sarah Schultz and Evan Argus, was an ongoing creative process,” said Samantha. “We spent countless hours to produce a fulfilling final product and I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished.”
