Roslyn Landmark Society will hold a benefit concert featuring Grammy Award-winning and platinum recording artist, songwriter and composer Jimmy Webb at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 5th at My Father’s Place in Roslyn. Proceeds from the event will help fund the non-profit organization whose current focus is the restoration of the historic Roslyn Grist Mill.

Webb’s charismatic and entertaining stage presence has earned him international acclaim by performing and telling the fascinating stories behind his hit songs including “Wichita” “Lineman,” “Galveston,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” “MacArthur Park” and “Up, Up and Away.”

The youngest member ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Webb’s songs have been recorded by Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, Tony Bennett, and Michael Feinstein to name a few. In 2016 Rolling Stone magazine listed Webb as one of the top 50 songwriters of all time.

Jimmy Webb commented “I’m proud to be part of the Long Island community and more than happy to perform this fundraiser for the Roslyn Landmark Society. Roslyn is a quaint part of Long Island and an important part of its history. And we have a long streak of great shows at My Father’s Place – I think I can guarantee a good time!”

“We’re thrilled and thankful that My Father’s Place owner, Michael “Eppy” Epstein has provided this wonderful venue for the benefit concert and arranged for Jimmy Webb to perform,” said Landmark President Howard Kroplick. “The proceeds from this show will help us continue our mission to preserve, educate and restore historic sites in our community which included the recent and successful lifting of the 300-year-old Roslyn Grist Mill so that a new foundation can be poured.”

General Admission tickets are $100 each (including a 2020 Roslyn Landmark Society membership) and a VIP General Admission ticket for $150 each which includes an After Show Champagne Reception with Jimmy Webb, an autographed CD and a 2020 membership to Roslyn Landmark Society.
