Two of Roslyn High School’s Independent Study students have had work published.
Senior Angela Tran was awarded third place in the Long Island Arts Council’s 2017 Poetry Writing Contest sponsored by Dover Publications. Her poem, “Recipe for Soy Sauce From a Western God,” was published in a booklet that was distributed to high schools throughout Long Island.
Sophomore Sydney Rothschild submitted an article, “Repair of Our World” to Teen Ink and it was recently selected for publication in the print version of their magazine, which has a distribution of more than 500,000 readers.
