On this Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of millions of American veterans who placed their lives on the line for liberty and to those men and women who paid the ultimate price.
Even now, many of our troops are in harm’s way across the globe. We must support them overseas and when they come home.
New York State has many programs to help returning veterans and their families during this difficult time. One of the programs sponsored by my office and the New York Business Development Corporation is a loan program to help returning veterans re-establish an existing business or start a new business. More information is available about this program from the NYBDC at 1-800-923-2504.
It is the least we can do for those who have already sacrificed so much.
Today, please honor the brave men and women who have defended our way of life. Their service and sacrifices must not be forgotten.
