Readers Write: Turano’s credentials show why he deserves your vote

The Island Now

In light of Mr. John Turano’s candidacy for re-election as the Munsey Park village justice, I feel that it is my civic duty, as a resident of Munsey Park, to show my support for John.

I have lived in Munsey Park for about 16 years.

During this time, I have witnessed John’s dedicated service to residents and our community for over 14 years.

I believe that John’s credentials and the extensive experience he has in the role of village justice make him eminently qualified.

John is an accomplished attorney who has served as an assistant district attorney for over three years, a Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of North Hempstead for four and a half years and a prosecuting attorney for the Villages of Lake Success and New Hyde Park for approximately 40 years.

I believe John has served with dedication and shown remarkable character and judgment.  Over the years he has worked to improve the criminal justice system in the village, and has been able to provide justice to and protect the rights of the individuals passing through the court system for the betterment of the community at large.

John’s outstanding credentials, his loyalty to his community, and his demonstrated excellence as a public servant have convinced me to support him in his effort for re-election as the village justice.

Please vote on March 20, 2018 at Village Hall from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m.
