It goes without saying that this has been a school year unlike any other. More than ever, our community puts their trust in our Board of Education for the best decision-making, thoughtful planning and the appropriate use of funds for our schools. Not only did we need planning for our schools to remain clean, healthy and safe places for our children, but also planning for the remote learning that is taking place.
On behalf of the United Parent-Teacher Council, we would like to acknowledge the dedication and outstanding service of the members of the Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education. Our thanks and appreciation go to President Barbara Berkowitz, Vice President Donald Ashkenase, Trustee Donna Peirez, Trustee Rebecca Sassouni, and Trustee Jeffrey Shi for their outstanding service to the Great Neck community. We are well aware of the endless hours that they spend volunteering their time for the benefit of our community, providing exemplary education opportunities for all, from Pre-K to adult education.
