Readers Write: Katz slate will tackle Plaza problems

The Island Now

Parking is a problem in Great Neck Plaza.  The other day, once again, I had to mail a package at the post office. When I got to Welwyn Road, it took me an inordinate amount of time to get from the traffic circle to the post office,  due to an illegally parked truck and when I finally got there, I couldn’t find a parking space.

The present administration has failed to address this problem. They have spent millions of dollars on vanity projects that have not created necessary and needed parking and have only increased traffic jams all over Great Neck Plaza.  Ted Rosen, who is now running for mayor, denies that any parking problem exists. I could never vote for a mayor who isn’t realistic about the problems in his village.

I am voting for Leonard Katz for mayor, Marnie Ives and Robert Farajollah for trustees on Sept. 15.  They will make every attempt through their concerted efforts  to address as many issues and problems in the village and to improve the overall environment for a better place to live and thrive. Please cast your absentee ballot as a write-in vote or show up at the polls Sept 15 from 12p.m. to 9 p.m.
