Readers Write: Jaggar’s death Port’s loss

The Island Now

Recently our community lost Scott Jaggar, an honorable professional, veteran, scholar and friend.

Scott’s life is proof that you can accomplish great things with a calm voice and even temperament.

He was a man of great intellect, wit and compassion, which made him a perfect match for his dynamo wife Dr. Angela Jaggar.

Behind every great woman, is a great man.

Together they leave a permanent legacy through the Angela and Scott Jaggar Foundation of enriching lives and helping those in need.

Each of us have had the tremendous honor of working directly with Angela and Scott over the last decade.

Notable projects include Landmark’s Conversations on Main Street and building an expansive network of Student Environmental Leaders who are becoming stewards of our world.

We will sorely miss Scott’s smile and presence at our events and programs.

The only way to truly honor Scott Jaggar’s life, is to continue our work enriching the lives of others.

And that is what we intend to do.

With gratitude for our time with Scott Jaggar,

Laura Mogul, Executive Director Landmark on Main Street

Mindy Germain, Executive Director Residents For A More Beautiful Port Washington

Beth Horn, Managing Director The Sands Point Preserve.
