I am writing to urge voters come out on April 9 and vote for Matt Straus who is running for a trustee position on the Port Washington Library board.
Straus will prove to be an excellent choice based on his education as an English major in college who learned the value of a thriving library, where the value of written communication can be experienced, shared and discussed.
He currently serves as a trustee of the Science Museum of Long Island, as well as a regular volunteer at Sousa Elementary School, where his children attend.
Straus wants to build on the diversity of offerings the library provides, work to maintain the vitality and quality of both the facility and staff and see to it that the library remains as one of Port’s greatest resources.
On a personal note, Matt is one of the most honest, genuine, intelligent and fair-minded guys I have ever been associated with.
