Readers Write: Here’s why you should vote for Peter Fishkind

The Island Now

My name is Dan Levy and I have been the mayor of our Village of Saddle Rock for the last decade. In my capacity as mayor, I have had the pleasure of being able to closely work with our village’s leadership and serve our community.

In doing so, I know just how important it is for us to have friends at every level of government. This year we have the opportunity to vote for Peter Fishkind for North Hempstead Town Council.

Peter has spent time in our community, understands the issues that are most important to us, and is ready to support us as a representative in the 5th District following the decision of our beloved Lee Seeman to not seek re-election.

With our support, he will be one of our key local representatives where, regardless of political party, we need an accessible representative who is responsive to the interests we have throughout the broader Great Neck area and across the Town of North Hempstead.

Peter is so passionate about our community that he left his job as an attorney at a large international law firm to run for Town Council.

In addition to his professional career, Peter has been involved with a variety of local community groups as well as holding several leadership roles in various American Jewish and Pro-Israel organizations.

I can’t think of a more qualified individual to run for Town Council.

With that being said, I am endorsing Peter Fishkind for Town Council in North Hempstead’s Fifth District.

Help us build a brighter future for our fifth district— vote Peter Fishkind for Town Council, whether it be via absentee ballot, early voting, or on Tuesday, Nov. 2 and tell your friends to do the same.

Dan Levy, M.D.

Great Neck
