The ad the Great Neck Library staff had to take to inform the community that all was not well with the Great Neck Library is sad.
Why is the Great Neck board so damned secretive and disloyal ?
HOW can they allow their staff to work without a contract for five years now and not breathe a word about it at meetings, public gatherings, to trample it down?
If GE or GM have problems with contracts with their staffs it hits the headlines!
The staff of those organizations protest publicly!
The board has suffocated it.
Why? What are they trying to do?
This is a disgrace !
What is the staff, their puppets ?
Don’t they know that they depend on their staff?
They are the first line serving the public.
What infuriates me is that way back on March 30, 2014, I wrote a letter to the editor of this paper that revealed this horrible secret.
This paper printed it in a bold spot.
And not a damn thing has been done or even tried. And that was over two years ago!
Let the staff and the board hear from you.
Show your sense of justice, your sense of morality about how our staff is being treated?
And imagine if you were on the staff and working without a contract of now, five years!
