I am a member of the Port Washington senior citizens center. County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton comes to our center regularly to help us celebrate our birthdays, giving each of the seniors a rose and singing “Happy Birthday” with us. She attends many events at the center and is very involved with the senior center in Glen Cove, as well.
Delia is also supportive of veterans. As a World War II veteran, I appreciate her dedication to the men and women who have served. I hope you will join me in showing support for Delia on Election Day, Nov. 7. Let’s thank her for all she has and will continue to do for senior citizens, veterans and our entire community.
