I am calling on all Great Neck home and business owners who employ people that are dependent on public transportation to speak up on their behalf.
Call your local Nassau legislator, the Nassau County Executive, and the NICE bus company to demand more reliable bus service for your employees.
The N57 loop bus is particularly egregious and adheres to what can only be called a phantom schedule. The majority of its ridership are hard-working people from immigrant communities who deserve a bus that follows the published schedule on a consistent basis. If Nassau County truly wants to lessen its dependence on automobiles, it has a long way to go.
