Readers Write: Beth Horn for library trustee

The Island Now

This letter is submitted in support of Beth Horn’s candidacy for Trustee of the Port Washington Public Library. I have known Beth for more than a decade, originally due to our respective involvement with Landmark on Main Street, where Beth served as Director of Development prior to her current role as Executive Director of the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy.

In both cases, she played a key role in stabilizing (and increasing) the respective organizations’ finances, and, in the case of the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, dramatically improved the scope and quality of programming.

Beth is extremely smart and personable. Her intelligence, diligence, humor, warmth and calm demeanor are all evidence of her strong leadership qualities. Beth would make a wonderful trustee.
