A Queens man was arraigned Friday after his arrest for possessing what police said they believed was more than 70 bags of cocaine and more than 100 bags of heroin in Floral Park.

Tyuan S. Parham, 36, of Jamaica, was arrested Thursday by Nassau/Suffolk Heroin Task Force detectives after they found the drugs while performing a car stop at 5:07 p.m.

Police said Parham was known for selling narcotics to residents of Floral Park and was under investigation for selling heroin during the month of March.

Both members of the task force and of the Nassau County Police Department’s Bureau of Special Operations, police said, saw Parham driving his white 1998 Lexus when they decided to pull him over.

Police said detectives uncovered 71 zip lock bags containing what they believed was cocaine and 107 glassine bags of a “brown/tan substance” they believed was heroin.

The defendant was placed into custody without incident.  Parham faces nine counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and is due back in court April 5.
