PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Board of Trustees of the Village of South Floral Park will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Thursday, January 6, 2021 at 8:00 PM. remotely, via videoconference only, with no ìin personî location, as authorized pursuant to NYS special legislation (S.50001/A.40001), to consider the adoption of Bill No. 6 of 2021, a proposed local law to regulate telecommunication towers and antennae by amending the Code of the Village of South Floral Park, by adding a new Chapter 189, entitled ìTelecommunication Towers and Antennaeî; the proposed local law would establish regulations for the siting and screening of personal wireless services antennae, towers, and accessory structures in order to accommodate the growth of such systems within the Village while protecting the public against any adverse impacts on aesthetic resources, avoiding potential damage to adjacent properties from tower failure through structural standards and setback requirements, and reducing the number of towers needed to serve the community by maximizing the use of existing towers and buildings.
