SUNY Old Westbury softball senior catcher Corrine Protasiewicz earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll, announced by league officials in Monday’s report for games played March 30-April 5.
Protasiewicz, a native of Valley Stream, New York, batted .400 (10-for-25) with seven runs scored and two RBI in eight games last week.
She collected her 100th career hit with a leadoff single in seventh inning of game one’s 4-1 victory at Baruch College on April 3. Protasiewicz finished the Baruch doubleheader 3-for-6 at the plate with four runs scored and two RBI.
She also recorded a pair of two-hit games in a home doubleheader versus Hunter College on April 4.
On the season, Protasiewicz leads the team in hitting (.400, ranked No. 8 in conference), runs scored (11, T-11th in conference), hits (16), doubles (4) and on base percentage (.442). She is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak
