Is the Village of Lake Success Board of Trustees ready for its close up?

Village of Lake Success Mayor Ronald Cooper told board members at Monday night’s board meeting that there was possibility that their meetings could be televised and they might want to consider that question.

“There is the potential for public access to our meetings; special meetings, board meetings, etc., that Verizon and Cablevision could wire the village,” Cooper said.

Cooper said the neighborhood of Flower Hill has been trying to do the same thing but negotiations with Verizon and Cablevision have stalled.

Cooper suggested that he was not looking for an immediate answer.

“There I’m merely bringing this up to inroduce to you. Let’s see how Flower Hill does and we can always revisit this thing,” he said.

The amount it would cost for the village, if any, was not disclosed.
