A team of Port Washington tennis players based out of the new Chris Morley Tennis Center recently advanced to the USTA section title in Schenectady. The USTA 18 and over team competed and won against eight other teams from the Long Island Region. The team will be competing for the section title and a chance to compete in the USTA National Championships after the summer months.
Port Washington resident Michelle Rothbort has captained the team for three years, starting with friends and tennis partners and each year the results have gotten better and better. Co-captain Seema Imberman and all the team members contributed to the success.
“We are all very happy to have made it this far and excited to be representing the Long Island Region,” Rothbort saud. “Being a native of Port Washington I take a lot of pride in representing my town and the Chris Morley Tennis Center.”
