Port resident Hilary L. Moreira elected as member of Bond, Schoeneck & King

Bond, Schoeneck & King announced that Port Washington resident Hilary L. Moreira from the firm’s Garden City office has been elected as a member (partner) of the firm.

Her appointment was announced in conjunction with those of four other attorneys at the law firm by Kevin Bernstein, chairman of the firm’s management committee. According to Bernstein, “she is an outstanding lawyer, has consistently performed at the highest level, and possesses the qualities we expect and value in our members.”

Moreira is a labor and employment law attorney who represents and counsels employers in the public and private sectors in all areas of labor and employment law. She regularly negotiates collective bargaining agreements and represents public employers in Civil Service Law Section 75 hearings, Education Law Section 3020-a disciplinary hearings, discrimination claims, employment litigation and unfair labor practice proceedings before Federal and State agencies and courts.

Moreira is well versed in Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disability Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Taylor Law and the New York State Human Rights Law.
