Nassau County police are searching for a suspect who they said broke into a Manhasset home on Friday.
Police said the 75-year-old female resident of a Chapel Road home heard a loud noise and ran down the stairs to see that someone had kicked in her front door.
Police did not provide a description of the subject, but Third Squad officials said the subject fled the home westbound on Chapel Road.
Nothing was taken from the house, police said.
Police said no injuries were reported.
