Plattduetsche to host summer festival

The Plattduetsche Park Restaurant and Biergarten at 1132 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square will be holding a Summerfest on Sunday, Aug. 24, from noon to 7 p.m.  The admission price for adults is $20 and $5 for children (12 and under).  The first 2,000 paid adult entrants will receive a free glass beer mug!  All paid admission includes a free raffle ticket to win a flat-screen TV!  Another free raffle includes a chance to win tickets to a concert at the Tilles Center.

There will be live entertainment all day including:

• The Happy Wandererers

• Foehrer Musikfreunde Brass Band

• S.V.V. Original Enzian Bavarian Folk Dancers

Food and drink will be available for purchase as will a vendor marketplace and free children’s activities including cookie decorating and sand art and other unique things. 

All proceeds will benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County Inc., which has been assisting individuals with disabilities since 1948.  Today, United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County helps 2,000 children and adults through its vital programs and services.
