PEACE, a grassroots group with members from each building in our school community , joined in support of Mineola School District’s 2011-2012 educational plan and budget. At the budget vote on May 17, the Mineola School District voted to pass the budget and to re-elect trustees Hale and Hornberger. We wish to thank all those who came out to vote. PEACE has accepted the changes our school district is facing and we look forward to many prosperous years ahead.
As we come together as a community we encourage continued participation in the school district. Attending PTA meetings and board of ed meetings is a great way to stay informed. Please also consider attending some of the wonderful events that Mineola offers each year – sports events, marching band competitions, concerts, art shows, High school and middle school drama club productions, and many, many more.
