PATV will be taking submissions from Long Island Writers for “The Norman Hall Memorial Playwrights Festival” through May 15.

Since 1996, The Playwrights Project has produced and cablecast 28 original one-act plays of all the competition winners, including a behind the scenes documentary.

This project was created by the late Norman Hall, former PATV Board member and professional TV and stage director. In 2017, Robert M. Schaufeld, PATV board president, renamed the competition in his honor.

The guidelines for submissions are: original, fifteen minutes in length, limited to four characters, one set, no children/animals and 2 entries per playwright.

Scripts will not be returned.

Mail scripts to: PATV Long Island/Playwrights, 1111 Marcus Ave. Suite LL-27, Lake Success, NY 11042.

Prize is a professional television production of the play.

PATV has been a window to the community through media since 1984 and is proud to bring quality, award winning programming to the residents of the fifteen incorporated villages of Nassau County on channels 20 (Optimum) and 37 (Verizon) streaming from patv.org/livestream and our Facebook platform: PATV – Long Island.
