‘Once Upon a Mattress’ comes to Port Washington

The Island Now

The Community Synagogue Theater Company is proud to present the musical comedy, “Once Upon a Mattress,” from April 2 – 5, at the Landmark Theater on Main Street in Port Washington. Performances will be held on Thursday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday, at 11 a.m. (ASL translated) and 3:30 p.m.

If you thought you knew the story of “The Princess and The Pea” you may be in for some surprises. Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale provides some side-splitting laughs. You’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.
