Obama blamed violence on video

The Island Now

Okay, all you unabashed progressive readers: You, who just love to write in and call me an insensitive rich-guy, an unappreciative racist, and a factually-incorrect, uncaring Conservative.

This is your chance to really go at me. Please, for a change, try and stick with my facts and not charge me with your usual obtuse, vague, bigoted, and unsubstantiated  generalities. After all, most of you have never even met me.

I am not going to talk about the Sept. 11 premeditated, terrorist murder of our Libyan ambassador, which the Obama Administration initially, almost as a reflex, had to excuse by blaming it on a video.

What a stretch? Hundreds of terrorists, armed with high-powered guns, breaching both the front and the rear of Obama’s newly-fortified embassy, all because of a year-old video,  exactly on 9/11. Yeah , right.

I am not going to talk about the incessant repetition of the now famous Romney tape, while NBC unbelievably, refused to air the tape of Obama, clearly stating his strong desire for “income redistribution.” NBC claimed they “couldn’t substantiate it’s  authenticity.”

Thank God Channel 4  is not biased.

I am not going to talk about the South American country of Belize,   which this week declared bankruptcy, due to the same type of debt-to-GDP ratio that we have here.  That’s the same debt that Obama claims is not a “short-term problem and will be “addressed “ some time in the future.

I am not going to talk about the  Census Bureau’s new statistics showing  that our present household income has now fallen to the level of 1995. I thought the recession ended two years ago and Obama’s policies of a slow recovery were working? Speak to the 14-16 percentout  of work.

So let’s  talk about one of Obama’s  great achievements. The Department of Agriculture stated that 46 million Americans are now on food stamps.  That’s one out of every seven people in the U.S. I’m not done yet. Didn’t you progressives forget something? The cost is $71.8 billion dollars for one year.  That comes to $770 billion dollars over the next 10 years. That’s almost one trillion dollars.

We all agree that a temporary, safety-net program, which was initially expected to expand or contract baised on the economy, has grown into a huge,  permanent entitlement benefit.

Last month, 173,000 new people registered for food stamps alone. it’s grown 3.3 percent this year . How does Obama sell this?

As they alway do, they change the name. Food-Stamps sounds like welfare.  Thenew name is The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. How altruistic. Doesn’t that make you Progressives feel so good ? Didn’t you hear their new radio commercial, telling everyone, in such a nice dignified grandmotherly voice , that it is your right and duty to have a balanced and healthy diet?

A permanent entitlement program:  Obama loves this new source of voters. And Romney can’t criticize it in fear that he will be called a bigot. Nancy Pelosi’s excuse was  that for every dollar of my taxes spent on food stamps, it increases our economy by $1.79. Why don’t we just buy everyone a new car?  Way to go, Nancy. Loved your new Mikimoto pearls.

  Some of my suggestions:

1- This program must be fully funded as a budgetary item. Tell us where the money is coming from.

2- Each recipient must  have a monthly re-evaluation, to prove they are still eligible.

3-Each recipient must undergo a drug test and if they test positive, they must immediately enter a drug program. Two successive positive tests would disqualify any applicant. This was vetoed by the Democrats!.

4- Any unemployed applicant must either be applying for a job, going to school or be certified as not being able to work. This idea was also vetoed by the Democrats.

5- A photo ID must be used when receiving these benefits.  And finally,

6- The program should always be fully monitored for fraud and abuse.

. Okay , now is the time for all of you progressives to tell me where I have gone wrong.

But remember:

It’s my money you want to spend.
