The Town of North Hempstead was proud to host the first National Night Out event at Whitney Pond Park on Aug. 3. Town Clerk Wayne Wink and Council Member Mariann Dalimonte were in attendance to kick off the event.
National Night Out is a neighborhood event that promotes police-community partnerships. The event was made possible by help from the Nassau County Police Department’s Sixth Precinct, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, and the Nassau County Police Athletic League. Attendees were treated to booths by local businesses, raffles, music, and fun activities.
