The ceremony which is in its eleventh year, which was officiated by Town Clerk Wink, offered married couples the opportunity to reaffirm their vows to each other on Valentine’s Day. Also on hand at the ceremony were Council Members Viviana Russell, Peter Zuckerman, Veronica Lurvey, Lee Seeman, and Mariann Dalimonte.

“We are so happy that you all are spending this Valentine’s Day with us as you renew your marriage vows,” Bosworth said. “It’s always amazing to see so many loving couples celebrating the importance of love together.”

“It is an honor to be able to officiate the ceremony and celebrate the longstanding commitment that these couples have for each other,” said Town Clerk Wayne Wink.

The event began with opening remarks from Town Clerk Wink, Supervisor Bosworth, and Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, followed by the administration of the renewal of vows.

Forty-six couples from across the Town participated in the renewal ceremony with the longest-married couple having been together for 74 years.
