New “Kids Go Free” program at Nassau Coliseum this winter

The Island Now

NYCB LIVE, home of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, will be offering a new, limited-time “Kids Go Free” program to offer affordable, family-friendly entertainment opportunities to Long Islanders.

The program will kick off with the Long Island Nets granting free entry to all remaining regular season games for kids ages 11 and under and will extend to the Coliseum hosting the New York Open indoor tennis tournament on Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16.

The Long Island Nets free entry for kids comes with the purchase of one paid adult ticket with a $20 value. Fans can receive up to two free kids tickets through this special offer by using the promo code “LIKIDS” on Ticketmaster.com. This promotion will be offered to fans for the remainder of the 2018 season.

At the New York Open, kids ages 12 and under are welcome for free with a paid adult for all sessions. This offer is redeemable on Ticketmaster.com for upper level tickets and grants two kids free entry per paid adult. This offer is not valid for semifinals on Saturday, Feb. 17 or finals on Sunday, Feb. 18.

NYCB LIVE features a variety of kid-friendly games, activities and entertainment tailored to young fans and hopes to continue the “Kids Go Free” program with future events. In addition to free tickets to all upcoming regular season Long Island Nets games, the first 500 kids to attend a Long Island Nets game will also receive one free giveaway, which could include a Long Island Nets logo shirt, sweat band, shooting sleeves, logo pennant or pencil case. Parents can also choose from special vendor promotions, including dollar hot dogs and a kid’s meal package.

Each Long Island Nets home game also includes a Kids Zone, which features a game truck and inflatables, home games with performances by either the Long Island Nets Kids Dance Team or Team Hype, and the best break dancers, tumblers, and dunkers on Long Island. Both teams can be seen interacting with fans, launching t-shirts in the crowd, and performing dynamic routines.

“We are excited to offer the Kids Go Free program to make world-class, family-friendly entertainment more accessible,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “NYCB LIVE is a gathering spot for everyone on Long Island and it is our goal to provide families memorable experiences that they’ll remember for years to come.”

NYCB LIVE, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is located at 1255 Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale.
