The 12th Annual Nassau County Math Olympiad Tournament took place on May 31 at State University of New York at Old Westbury.
Teams from each of the four public elementary schools and Notre Dame represented the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park school district. Students qualified for the teams by being the top scorers in the Math Olympiad contests that took place in their schools throughout the year.
Hillside Grade sixth grader, Nathaniel Park, took home third place in the individual competition and Justin Semet, Manor Oaks sixth grader placed fifth.
They competed against over 300 other students from Nassau County that participated in the 2018 tournament.
