Art and food aficionados will have a chance to view an eclectic lineup of fine artists at the Nassau County Museum of Art’s latest exhibit, “Feast of the Eyes,” an engrossing display of culinary wonders, portrayals of feasts, eateries, restaurants, cafés, groceries, and table settings spanning across two floors of the facility.

Guest-curated by Frank Hill Perrell, works on display will range across various artistic movements, and feature a variety of mediums from Audrey Flack’s photorealism, to multimedia works by Red Grooms.

The exhibit in Roslyn Harbor will also works by former Huntington resident, George Grosz, a principal artist associated with the New Objectivity movement, the fluid works of Henri Matisse, and both Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol of the American Pop Art movement.

Perrell said that although the exhibition includes a high density of women artists, such as American photographer and film director Cindy Sherman, The New Yorker’s Roz Chast, and fashion designer Judith Leiber, that, they were in fact selected “because they were the highest-quality works,” and not because they were women.

Long Island artists represented in the show include Frank Old, Susan Cushing, Richard Gachot, Bruce Lieberman, Christian White, and Joe Szabo.

The exhibit will be on display between Saturday July 30 through Sunday, Nov. 6.
