North Shore moms are invited to kick off the fall season with a festive event hosted by The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset on Sept. 22.

Group co-presidents Holly Wilson and Karen Baumbach will host the event, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Onderdonk House at 1471 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset.

The first meeting will serve as a way for attendees to meet and socialize with other moms, as well as hear about some of the events the group will be hosting for the 2016-2017 year.

All interested moms are invited to attend.

“Even though there was a break over the summer, we have been brainstorming over the past eight weeks and can’t wait for the fun to begin,” Wilson said.

“Last year was such an exciting year for the [Mothers’ Group of Manhasset], which is why we were eager to get started on this year,” Baumbach said.

The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset is an organization run by moms, for moms, to support each other at every stage of motherhood.

The group hosts a number of regular events throughout the year that help to connect the mothers and children to the community, a press release from Mothers’ Group of Manhasset said.

At the kick-off meeting, members will be able to join the group’s book club, playgroups and learn about some upcoming challenging events, like 5K runs.

“The Mothers’ Group is an incredible resource for connecting the women and children in our community,” Baumbach said. “It’s always so nice to see the friendships that originate from one of our play groups or events. We’re looking forward to seeing new friendships continue to develop this year.”

For those attending the event at the Onderdonk House, the group advised drivers not to park on the hill leading up to the house, the roundabout circling the house, or on Rolling Hill Road to avoid parking tickets.
