The Village of Mineola officially observed Arbor Day on Friday April.

The village board marked the occasion by holding an annual tree planting ceremony.  This year’s tree planting was at the corner of Coolidge Avenue and Bauer Place.

During the tree planting ceremony Mayor Scott Strauss noted that the village has again been named a “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Day Foundation.

This is the 33rd year Mineola has received the Tree City designation.
