Reader’s Write: Merola wins votes for Manhasset ed board

The Island Now

I have known Marirose Merola for over 10 years as our daughters are in the same grade. We have interacted through SCA events and committees and as neighbors in our community.

Together we have been St. Mary’s catechists since our children were very young.

For as long as I have known Marisrose, she has always been charitable with her time and knowledge. When you meet Marirose you have a sense that she deeply cares about the people she meets and the work she does.

I find her to be passionate, selfless and caring. She always has a smile on her face and is never in a rush to say hello.

Marirose has a background in education and business, which makes her a perfect candidate for a seat on the school board. Marirose was a member of SCA Shared Decision Making for Shelter Rock. She co-founded and co-chaired the P.A.S.S. committee back in 2005.

Our district was on austerity and that committee was vital in informing and educating the community. Later she co-chaired the CEC Committee (Citizens Education Committee) for two years, continuing to inform the community about our budget vote. Marirose is obviously familiar with the territory of our school district and I couldn’t imagine a more suitable candidate.

Marirose Merola has won my heart and she has won my vote!

I urge you to join me in supporting  Marirose for school board.
