Marching Roslyn HS Bulldogs prepare for busy year

The Island Now

The Roslyn Marching Bulldogs is a competitive marching band, comprised of more than 100 dedicated members. Under the direction of Pat Patterson, this year’s band is participating in the U.S. Bands Conference, where it will be performing in numerous competitions in New York and Connecticut.

In the past, the Roslyn Marching Band has performed at the Chick Fil-A Bowl and at the Orange Bowl.

This year, they will be competing at the U.S. Bands National Championships at Met Life Stadium and will be marching for the first time in the Columbus Day Parade in New York City.

In February 2014, the band will be performing once again at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Epcot in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to the competitions, the Bulldogs perform at half-time for various home football games and the High School Pep Rally. Look for the Marching Bulldogs on Saturday, Sept. 28, as they march through the Roslyn as part of the homecoming parade, a long standing tradition of Roslyn High School.
