Reader’s Write: Many fathers of health fair’s success in S. Rock

The Island Now

On Friday, March 14, our Saddle Rock School PTA hosted a Health Fair for the entire school. Students from kindergarten through fifth-grade were offered information concerning many important health topics including nutrition, exercise, allergies, and proper dental care.

Additionally Nassau County, through the office of County Supervisor Ed Mangano, provided KidPix that created for each child, with prior parental approval, a free photo- and scanned-fingerprint-ID take-home card. Students also received take-home bags with educational materials to share with their parents. The Health Fair was a huge success as the children thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent at the event.

This event could not have been the success it was without the help of the Saddle Rock staff, the parent volunteers, and the Great Neck community professionals and merchants who participated.

Their contribution made the fair the great event that it was and we would like to thank them on behalf of the Saddle Rock School community. They include: bee-ORGANIC Cafe; Excel Workout and Physical Therapy; GMA, I Love Kickboxing; Great Neck Orthodontics; Sherman Orthodontics; and Top of the Park PEDS.
