The deadline to file petitions to run in all of Manhasset’s five village elections on March 15 closed on Tuesday with all incumbents seeking re-election seeing no challengers.

In the Village of Munsey Park, Deputy Mayor John Lippman and Trustee Jennifer Noone, whose terms are set to come to an end have filed to run for re-election in a race that will see both of them unopposed

Noone and Lippmann ran on the Residents for a Better Munsey Party ticket in 2014 and defeated Trustee Susan Auriemma, and trustee candidate Eileen Cuneo who ran on the Village Party line.

Lippman, a five-year resident of Munsey Park, has served on the village’s building advisory committee as well as the Manhasset School District’s Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Finance.

Lippmann, who works in commercial real estate finance and as an adjunct professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, said he would bring a bright financial mind and a friendly and understanding demeanor to the board of trustees when he ran for election to the Board of Trustees in 2014.

Residents can cast their ballot at Village Hall at 1777 Northern Blvd.

The Village of Flower Hill will also see an unopposed race as Mayor Elaine Phillips, Trustee Karen Reichenbach, Trustee Gary Lewandowski, Trustee Randall Rosenbaum and Village Justice Dennis Reisman all seek another term in office. Reisman, also ran unopposed in 2014 when he was appointed in 2014 to replace Justice Bruce Byrne, who retired after 40 years in the village.

Village Administrator Ronnie Shatzkamer said all seats were for two-year terms except for Reisman’s, which is a four-year term.

Voting will take place at Village Hall at 1 Bonnie Heights Road from noon to 9 p.m.

In the Village of Plandome, Deputy Mayor Ray Herbert and Trustee Andrew Bartels will also run an unopposed reelection.

Voting will take place at Village Hall at 65 South Drive.

In the Village of Plandome Heights, the seats for Mayor Kenneth Riscica and trustees Silva Ferman, Alvin Solomon and Lynne Aloia are coming to an end and both have filed for reelection.

In the Village of Plandome Manor, Trustees Tony DeSousa and Patricia O’Neill are also running in an unchallenged election.

Village Clerk Randi Malman said DeSousa and O’Neill picked up a petition to run on the same line.

Malman also said since they are running on the same ticket, they only needed to gather 35 resident signatures for the pair rather than the required 35 signatures per candidate.

Residents can cast their ballot at Village Hall at 55 Manhasset Ave.
