Reader’s Write: Manhasset ed budget maintains quality

The Island Now

We are excited to announce that P.A.S.S. (Parents Aligned to Support our Schools) is up and running again.

During previous budget votes, P.A.S.S. has been essential in providing the community with crucial information that has been useful to voters. This year, we’ve introduced our new Web site www.passmanhasset.com. You will find a variety of information pertaining to this year’s vote.

We urge everyone to visit our Web site so that you can read timely fact-based information to help you make an educated decision.

Our school district has been busy for months with the task of informing residents about the challenges our community faces in 2013-2014 and making every effort to present a school budget that maintains Manhasset’s commitment to providing a top notch public school education for all students.

P.A.S.S. is supporting this budget and asks that you do, too. If you place a high value on the robust academic and extra-curricular programs provided at our schools, become involved, voice your opinion and show your support on Tuesday, May 21.

On our Web site, you can subscribe to our newsletter.  You can also contact a member of our board of education at boe@manhasset.k12.ny.us, [Manhasset] Superintendant Charlie Cardillo at Ccardillo@manhasset.k12.ny.us the SCA community education chairperson Christine Monterosso at deleeuw@optonline.net, or one of the P.A.S.S. Co-Chairs members.

Now is the time to ask your questions about this budget vote. Our goal for this vote is one and done.  Please join us in this effort.

We are Manhasset.

Our schools have educational excellence with fiscal responsibility.
