In an effort to encourage and motivate students to learn important math concepts through fun activities New Hyde Park Memorial High School students assisted their elementary counterparts at Manor Oaks Elementary School in an exciting Family Math Night. Students in grades K to 6 were able to take part in up to ten different stations, including how to use a deck of cards to perform “heads up” questions. New Hyde Park Memorial’s students from the Junior National Honor Society, advised by Dr. Eileen Valdes, and Angela Stone’s High Science Research students graciously gave their time to lead the stations and guide the students through the various activities.
