Mineola High School ninth-grader Phil Macchietto helped lead the Nassau County All-Star Bowling Team to a fourth-place state finish in the New York State Public High School Tournament.
Phil competed in his third state tournament as a member of the Nassau County team, which is comprised of the top six bowlers. This year, Phil had the team’s second-best pin total as he amassed a 1,261 series. He had a 210 average that day, with 236 being his highest score. The Mineola School District congratulates Phil on this achievement.
