Readers Write: Lippman ‘earned our vote’ in Munsey Park

The Island Now

To the Voters of the Village of Munsey Park:

We have been Munsey Park residents for 38 years and John Lippmann who is running for a second term as village trustee has earned our vote for re-election.

During his first two-year term as a Village of Munsey Park trustee, John worked steadfastly to improve the quality of life for village residents by addressing safety, infrastructure and financial concerns with local and state agencies.

He has maintained an active dialogue with the county police, lobbying to increase their presence in our community. John has maintained an unrelenting stance that work by utilities within the Village be subject to Village zoning oversight.

He has worked with financial advisors and the state Comptroller’s Office on a responsible plan to refinance the village’s current high-rate bonds and evaluate new funding for future infrastructure.

His efforts were recognized by Mayor Sean Haggerty last year when John was appointed deputy mayor.

John Lippmann and his running mate, Jennifer Noone, have demonstrated their continuous dedication to the Village of Munsey Park.

Although they are running unopposed, we urge you to show your support by voting for their re-election on Tuesday, March 15 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall.
